Some people simply can’t be replaced #gwenifill @SRuhle
Wasn’t that a brilliant and heartfelt tribute @SRuhle gave to the late #GwenIfill this morning. One of many reasons @SRuhle is a daily must
Judy should be sole anchor, leaving Gwen’s chair empty in honor of her memory. (We miss you dearly, Gwen.)
Keep up the fine work, Judy. You inspire us all.

She's earned it, what a professional
Good news. When I hear and see Judy I know I’m listening to an impartial, judicious and trustworthy journalist.
May favorite hour of news. No one messes with or smarts off or starts an argument with Judy Woodruff leading the discussion. She asks, they answer. Simple.
*my* favorite
Well deserved. I miss Gwen. They were a terrific team
Amazing anchor. If Cronkite was "Uncle Walter" Woodruff is "Aunt Judy." Trust-worthy, calm, professional, focused -- excellent interviewer (fyi: I find mainstream media not aggressive enough in follow-up questions).
She’s fantastic
Newshour has many problems. Watched it since first show decades ago. Wavering. Looking for options.
What?? I love @NewsHour. Honestly curious what your critique is.
Like so many in MSM, she and PBS normalizes & diminishes the events surrounding the election interference, 45* & emoluments, Russia connections, racism & misogyny in our society, and GOP hypocrisy. What’s to like?
It's matter of upholding standards. Trump has embarrassed himself and the country. Often news/ interviews reflect his model, in cynicism and informality, aside from the lies. PBS covers a variety of issues, often less covered elsewhere and doesn't pretend to be the 1st or fastest
I used to watch NPR/PBS. But extremes started to become more apparent pre-election when false equivalency was used to facilitate “both sides”. If Judy looked into the camera, said that our country & institutions including the media have failed us, I might return as a viewer.
I appreciate your point. Thinking yesterday about the PBS of the 70s and how the coverage was what I'd call balanced with frame of reference to inform and raise us all up. While factual, it was also gentler, no hard edges or angles.
She is good & deserves it!
