Treat what they say like any other source. Is it credible, is it verifiable? Whether you have a personal responsibility to seek help for them is separate from the reportorial question.

As a general proposition, the idea that reporters shouldn't report on the record comments from anyone who might be intoxicated or crazy is ridiculous and actually impracticable.

Her asking that only gives credancd to the Trump/Huckabee team to fully discredit everything he said. She should have treated it like Ari Melber on MSNBC, by sincerely asking if he was OK and showing concern.

I think there is a HUGE leap in between smelling alcohol on his breath, and him not controlling himself. He wasn't slurring his words or falling out his chair. I think if they can conduct themselves in a normal fashion, then let it happen. If not, make them wait till they are.
