While Trump talks about arming teachers, let's not forget about Las Vegas. There were armed officers both at the concert AND inside Mandalay Bay. Yet 58 people died.http://snpy.tv/2CIr26s

Republican Grand Pooba Ronald Reagan was surrounded by armed and very experienced secret service officers when he was shot by a mentally illed man who had a gun from lax NRA advocated legislations.

. None of those who experienced it can. None of us who covered that story can. We have a story coming out on Vegas survivors this week. Many don't know that after all these months there is still a Vegas shooting victim in the hospital. #neverforget.

Lets also not forget that the Vegas shooter also meet no mental health criteria plz. He was aware what he was doing & planned meticulously without telling anyone. Only 4% of mass shooters are mentally ill. The rest are angry pos for which there is no cure. #GunSenseNow

Don't forget that almost 500 people were wounded in Las Vegas. Please join in urging journalists to note the full human toll of mass shootings by reporting more than just deaths. For example, there were 33 people killed/wounded at Stoneman Douglas High. /1

Fifty-eight people were wounded in the Pulse nightclub shooting in addition to 49 killed, for a total of 107 victims; 20 churchgoers in Sutherland Springs were wounded in addition to 26 who died; 70 moviegoers were wounded in Aurora, where 12 were killed. /2

The suffering of people who were shot but survived mass killings is also tragic and relevant. Stories on the topic should reflect that. /3

58 dead......And 500 injured. Some are on the road to recovery. Some will be rehabbing for several years to relearn the simple things. Some may never walk again. All will have expenses and had their lives flipped upside down. Let’s not overlook and forget the injured.
