@davidhogg111 runs for office someday because we need more people in office who aren't afraid to speak truth to power. Even under the most gut-wrenching circumstances, he fearlessly stood up for those who have been terrorized by gun violence, even when the NRA attacked him -
It’s pretty amazing. The next great leader that this country desperately need will come out of these kids. It’s why America is so awesome. Despite our past...
-
What about all those that are not children? You are disregarding generations for some personal agenda?
-
Not at all, just don’t see glaring examples in any other generation like I do with these kids speaking up.
-
These kids are awesome! No need to detract from so many other powerful voices of the past, though. Activism is not a zero sum game. The more the better.
-
Not really. The failure of the schools is obvious.
-
You're falling flat here. Why do people speaking up against gun violence frighten you. If you believe schools are failing, what have you done to help strengthen them to give the children & teachers the support they deserve.
-
Schools are struggling because of lack of funding and parental http://involvement.At least that what I hear from family in the school system (principal, teacher, bus system).A lot of parents leave their kids at school and expect the school to raise them right.

This teen could run the country better than current administration.

He lost a lot of credibility by saying it was ok for police officer not enter school to confront gunman. Gun control alone won’t make schools safe.
-
He didn't say it was ok. He said he understood what the guy may have been thinking/feeling.
-
He said earlier in another interview officer didn’t want to go in there because of the AR-15. I get the gun issue, but lives may have been saved.
-
I agree. The officer didn't do his job. But don't mistake Hogg's understanding of the circumstance to mean he thought it was just fine that the deputy didn't go in.
-
In all honesty it’s hard to understand the lack of outrage considering 17 fellow students have been killed. Maybe there is some PTSD .
-
Yes. Or maybe he realizes it was unlikely that an out of shape guy with a Glock - who had to run to the building and up two or three flights of stairs - would have been able to take out a guy shooting high-velocity rounds out of a large-capacity mag.

-
That's not to say he shouldn't have tried anyway.

Notice this kid isnt interested going to any funeral for his classmates. Only interested in his publicity.

She's certainly evidence of America's gun psychosis. Not too smart either.
