One of the most obnoxious things in media right now is @brianstelter simultaneously hinting that Trump is mentally unwell while also denying that he would ever say such a thing. Intellectually dishonest as it gets.

I see an big difference between saying a person is sounding "unhinged" and labeling a person "mentally ill." Maybe you don't see a big difference. I do. I just want to be quoted accurately. Let's focus: Are you troubled by his behavior?

Maybe there’s a better word than unhinged here and the confusion stems from that? Just because the dictionary defines it as mentally unwell. Like saying he’s acting out of control?

I think these conversations about language are 100% useful. We should have more of them. What are the best words to describe what's happening? I just want to be quoted accurately. And I think we should focus on the big story -- POTUS

For sure. But where exactly am I quoting you inaccurately? You use the word "ill" right here:https://twitter.com/brianstelter/status/899321525844811777 …

It's uncomfortable to say this on TV: Is Trump ill? Is he unfit to be president? And if he IS unfit -- what then? http://money.cnn.com/video/news/2017/08/20/uncomfortable-questions-president-trump-brian-stelter-rs.cnnmoney/index.html …

I'm not going to go around in circles with you. I made one very specific point that you jumped on: Gainor falsely said I'm "obsessed with claiming Trump is mentally ill and talking about 'Trump's removal under the 25th amendment." Here is the inaccurate quote at issuepic.twitter.com/DxnPrxgbDo

He's not quoting you as specifically saying "Trump is mentally ill." However you did use words like "unhinged" (Unhinged: mentally unbalanced, deranged. Deranged: insane) He said you're obsessed with Trump and you're proving him right.
