Australians and Canadians seem to be more resistant to the hysterical conspiracy meme-sharing and don’t exhibit such infantile credulity. I hope.

That may be true, but we can't pat ourselves on the back just yet. At least in Canada, the same kind of "Just hate the other side because they're the other side" tribalism seems to be gaining strength up here. We all need to stop voting sides and start picking on policies.
-
Unfortunately my Canadian relatives are sharing all kinds of alt-right, white nationalist, anti-immigrant bs. Don't think Russia ain't messing around up there.
-
Agreed. But there's also been a lot of "Damn Liberals" or "Damn Conservatives" talk with no connection to real facts. I question some of PMs econ and veteran policies, but I've praised him for the most part of the job done so far. Never joined a party, never will.

First step is to turn down the political temperature. AND THEN BAN FACEBOOK.
-
The first step is to stop Russian cyber warfare. I'm not giving up my freedom to connect with people on social sites. Are you?
-
Since the troll posts tend to play into identified divides, banning social sites really won't solve it. They'll just move to conventional means like message boards and friendly blog/media, like Brietbart/Rebel media. But people should research things and read more that one source
-
What needs to be done is to make Facebook, Twitter and online media responsible and accountable for what they spread. Financially and legally.

I've said many times, the 2016 election was as much about an overestimation of the American people as it was about an underestimation of Donald.

Forty years of Republicans destroying public education in this country has created the citizens the right wants.

Remember how, during the campaign, Trump gleefully shouted “I love the poorly educated”? I think that doesn’t mean letters after the name; it includes willful ignorance of facts, history, reality. Irresponsible citizenship!

Your problem is that, people are becoming more news literate and not just taking the left wing talking points that CNN and the left leaning media report as news at face value anymore. When are you planning on reporting about this:https://twitter.com/AriFleischer/status/964895954481623040 …
-
That is very unlikely to be true. Facebook is hiding from their culpability.
