In one of the videos from Parkland, we see that some students had to walk by several lifeless bodies while being evacuated from their school. http://cnnmon.ie/2sxZCQL pic.twitter.com/2dCJ8LgxRU

And yet CNN is asking these same terrified student's to be on camera this morning and the anchors are asking them to relive that terror all over again so they can get a story. Sad journalism. Yes they may have agreed to be on camera, but come on, have some humanity!

Allowing them to tell their story of trauma is important.

yes, but does it need to be this morning, 12 hrs after this tragedy happened? Waiting another day wouldn't change the story/details

I disagree. If I had experienced something like this it would mess me up psychologically to listen to people who weren't there report on what happened. I highly doubt these news stations are coercing these kids into talking about it. I think they want and need to talk.

I guess there's a line between informing the public and personal compassion.

I don't think we should tell people how to process grief and trauma.

I don't understand how it's disrespectful to ask to hear their feelings, how they are dealing with this and telling them how sorry the nation is that they had to go through this. So we'll have to agree to disagree.

The thing I found surprisingly grotesque was that the TV news services bleeped out the profanity the students were screaming, but not the gunshots, which are far more unacceptable. Come on broadcasters, look again at your priorities.

Do you have any hope after Sandy Hook? I am sorry I lost mine. Just a few more screaming from classrooms, yelling from the public and it’s just another day at NRA HQ
