A repeat of last year: Trump's proposed budget eliminates almost all federal funding of public broadcasting. The $$ helps PBS, NPR, etc. Public broadcasting has lots of friends on Capitol Hill so this is likely a non-starter again.

Let PBS and NPR survive in the marketplace. The times have changed and they are anachronistic now. A waste of federal tax dollars.

Let PBS, NPR et al make it on their own. If they are viable they will survive. If not they deserve to disappear. Same with Amtrak.

Yeah, the orange POS signed a tax bill adding trillions to the national debt. Congress forced vote to raise debt ceiling. He talks defunding PBS, NPR, & ACA, all under the guise of being fiscally conservative, but wants to waste $20+ million on a 3rd-world style parade. #moron

Looks as if Trump is under instructions from the Murdochs to cut out NPR/PBS. BBC suffered significant cuts under David Cameron & George Osborne following pressure from the Murdoch empire.

If the product is worthy, it can be aired on commercial stations. If it’s not, not worth funding.
