Now I'm confused! Fox "exclusively obtained" the texts this morning, and @FoxAndFriends told me that Obama was in trouble. Now a different Murdoch outlet tells a different story:https://twitter.com/paulwsj/status/961363258321104896 …

Curious what you think the difference is between calling the WSJ a Murdoch outlet and Trump calling WaPo the BezosWashingtonPost™

If Bezos owned 2 news outlets, and 1 contradicted the other, then it would be worth pointing out

Give Fox a break! It’s so hard to keep your stories straight when you are making them up.

Is the DOJ providing FOX access they shouldn’t be or is it Trump?

My guess? The Wall Street Journal and @foxandfriends each tailored its story to its own audience. The WSJ has an admittedly conservative, but broad and reasonably rational audience. Fox & Friends, on the other hand, has an audience of one.

Frontline's Putin's doc touched on this. One source produces 2 competing stories, blatantly. Then competing sides/views start to produce similiar if not the same story. It confuses people and they look for an authority. It's worked quite well for Putin.

Never believed anything the three stooges @foxandfriends @SteveDoocy @ainsleyearhardt @kilmeade said. They’re too dumb to think deeper on what they read, since they’re surface dwellers. These are the people Trump gets his news from. Unfreakingbelievable!
