It's not 'uncharted.' Nixon did it. Nixon almost got impeached, and was forced to resign. Because Congress back then had some integrity and a respect for the Constitution.

Article II of the Constitution - Trump, as POTUS, has the enumerated constitutional power to remove Mueller. See Myer v United States Supreme Court case and Youngstown .. they are our law today as they have never been overruled. It is not uncharted territory - SCOTUS ruled on it

It isn't all that uncharted. It happened with Nixon and Archibald Cox. Completely turned the tide. Before, most of the public thought Watergate was BS. After, most Americans wanted him impeached.
