        I'll help @Misty__Bella out there. Empirical research proves the hypothesis that trump's coverage is more negative because he does things viewed negatively in a society based on norms of decency, honesty and fairness aka hes doing things that are problematic.

        Two examples of clear and misleading media bias used to “prove” negative behavior for viewers. Not sure how one wouldn’t classify these as negative coverage.

        I don't know what media you are reading/watching. The media I'm looking at is concerned about: 1. Refusal to/lies about providing tax returns. 2. Violations of Emoluments clause and immense financial conflicts of interest that he pretends to resolve but doesn't.

        3. Clear lies about he most trivial things (size of inauguration crowd) to the most important (obstruction of justice). 4. Firing an FBI director for not following a clear directive to protect an associate (Flynn), and lying about it.

        If only he had a platform to ensure 1st amendment rights are always protected. Like somewhere he could give speeches directly appealing to peers or even pass laws ensuring freedom of spech is mot endangered by clueless megalomaniacs
