        The 30% number is the percentage of the total turnout that was black. Which may just mean fewer white people came out to vote at all. there's plenty of reasons to not trust exit polls, but a guy sanctimoniously misreading the data isn't one of them.

        Exit polls overestimate Democratic performance due to 1) who generally takes exit polls; and 2) where they conduct the exit polls. This has been a problem for a long time. 2016 exit polls forecast an easy Hillary win; they also forecast Kerry in 2004, as just recent examples.
