“Rage and disappointment and frustration” re: ABC’s Flynn error. I totally get where @JamesGoldston is coming from.http://money.cnn.com/2017/12/04/media/abc-news-president-brian-ross-flynn-correction/index.html …

I don’t. To err is human. Trumpkins don’t care about newsroom protocols, they’ll take any excuse to bash Fake News whether it’s justified or not. Journalists must operate on good faith, not in an atmosphere of fear that any unwitting mistake might cost them their jobs.

Yes, this. This is 100% on point. The double standard where we beat up CNN and ABC for mistakes but let Fox News engage in nonstop Orwellian Big Lies (eg #SethRich, #PizzaGate, #UraniumOne) is disgusting.

At least the "real" media is moral enough to own up to their mistakes and quickly act to correct the errors, unlike politicians.pic.twitter.com/ZUaR1pcAiP

Brian Ross turns 70 in 2018. Maybe it’s time ABC News threw him a surprise retirement party.

Errors in American journalism have never been more magnified & never engendered greater consequences than in the last 2 years. One reason: Trump's constant attacks on almost all US media.

It was NOT an egregious error. On a student paper, it would knock the grade down from A to A-. Actually a trivial error, especially as compared to gobs of shoddy reporting last year on Dolt 45.

When abc gets it wrong, they profusely apologize and strive to right their wrongs. When Fox gets something wrong, they refuse to accept responsibility.

FoxNews "hard news" reporter Zimmerman is not on the opinion side and she reported this on the network and its digital properties. Nice try but the news side was involved as well as the ill informed opinion side.

You can look it up as laziness in research on your part reinforces ignorance of facts. Donna by the way wouldn't know because she was not head of DNC at that time.
