Prime example of today's corporate-speak. Gibberish & fluff in place of straight talk.

and no mention of the "best interests" of employees or readers. Just the shareholders.

Another dinosaur bites the dust. Given its storied history, can't imagine who is even left at Time to turn out the lights. The janitor?

I honestly don’t understand what drives the Kochs. They’re in their final years, are incredibly rich, maybe all of their political efforts will gain them another 20% in wealth max. Would that really change their lives? Why screw over so many people? Guess I’m naive
-
Same as Soros different side.
-
Over-simplified, but liberals support the under-privileged and look to shift some wealth away from the rich. Conservatives are pro-business and want people to take care of themselves. Soros is wealthy yet supports non-wealthy. He goes against his self-interests, Koch’s don’t.
-
"people to take care of themselves"... Hmm, do you mean as grownups do?

As a fan of Sports Illustrated's many excellent pieces on social issues, I am pretty sure that era of excellence is over.

Liberals control almost all media. Those 1 or 2 exceptions really irritate don't they?

This memo is top-heavy on the economics, which is understandable as you can't print the news without proper financing! That being said, the failure to emphasize an intent to maintain editorial independence and objectivity places a dark cloud over this entire transaction.

So where does Time fit in the average person's (me for example) media sources for news? Top 25? Nope can't find it. Top 50? No, not there either. Top 100? Still MIA. I'm only surprised there were any assets to sell at all.
