Yesterday at the @Dealbook conference, AT&T's CEO said "there have been a lot of people" who've "expressed interest in CNN," i.e. buying the network. AT&T says it's not selling.

So basically Faux News wants to try to spread state porpaganda / disinformation on one of the few remaining non-partisan outlets. Great!

How could FOX buying CNN be LESS of an anti-trust issue than ATT buying CNN? This whole thing stinks.
-
They’re very different owners. The possible issue is AT&T wireless, uverse and DirecTV being able to limit distribution of competitive channels.
-
Fair enough, but hasn't that precedent already been set with Comcast/NBCU?
-
Some would say. Again, I’m not taking a position here but there is always an argument behavioral conditions didn’t work well or environment has changed. That was a long time ago in internet days.

in her own story, Fox is trying to buy the 61 percent of Sky it does not already own but the bid is strongly opposed by some lawmakers and has been subject to lengthy regulatory scrutiny. how much power does rupert have?
