I've never understood why there is so much focus on "ads". It's troll content masquerading as users that was way more prevalent.
Important context missing: Donald Trump's digital operation, including its Facebook micro-targeting campaign, was run by Jared Kushner.
So... what about the democrats BUYING fake Russian disinformation?
Can't be any worse than CNN or other MSM outlets.
Do you have examples?
That's 10 times more than the best week at @CNN...

In other words; Losing had nothing to do with a horrible candidate and a fixed DNC primary. Outstanding analysis, Brian
The ads weren't limited to FB, either, or expressly about the election. Here's one that was on a news site last summer:pic.twitter.com/j9wRsaq9p4
Who clicks on those?! Like I was gonna vote for Hillary but I clicked on an ad and decided not to.. LOL! She sucked. Get over it.pic.twitter.com/65CXUKcpeQ
Yeah, I'm really struggling to imagine the swing voter who was swayed to vote for Trump based on some bullshit clickbait ad.
Well, it's not *one* ad, it's low-information voters seeing two dozen ads and promoted stories in a week before voting.
OK, let's add a couple hundred grand to Trump's "outside money" ledger. Clinton still had a massive advantage in terms of campaign cash.pic.twitter.com/1WklU1aBpE
And she also had more scruples. But criminality isn’t dependent on how effective the criminals were.
