Since when is trying to get everyone unified as a team to stand for the national anthem a bad thing? There are many other times to protest.

Protest aren't meant to be convenient. No such thing as the proper time for someone to express their freedoms and not about anthem anyway.
-
They aren't meant to be organized either. Seems less authentic. I get it, I just think it is redundant now and not adding anything positive.
-
I think the Freedom Riders, Suffrage movement and history in general would disagree. The fact it's even being discussed is a start.
-
Yet the fact Trump tweeted and added 1000x the amount of attention to these issues gets lost on most. He's a smart cookie.
-
Not ppl who know what it's really about. The irony is you seem to know what it's for & instead of supporting that you focus on the method.
-
One thing to consider. People older than 40 don't live by the PC code and play with words, enjoy expression freely, and don't think twice.
-
Seriously? Dude I'm "older than 40" & yes I express myself freely but I don't attack people based on their color, religion or ethnic orgin.

-
To be fair, Kaepernick wore socks depicting law enforcement as pigs. That is disrespectful.
-
Really Derek? Do you have anything to support your claim about Kaepernick’s socks? This sounds like some made up nonsense.

Defending freedoms doesn't mean defending what you agree with but defending what you do not agree with even more
-
There's a big difference between freedom of expression and endorsement. If we don't talk & listen to understand each other, we're doomed.
-
I dont like guns but I will defend to the death anyone's right to legally have them, because I want others to defend my 1st amendment rights
