3/ obviously that's an aspiration. but as I (among others) said at the time, journalism is an inherently mortal endeavor.

As I said, that's the aspiration, at NPR as at CNN, NYT whatever. But zero-tolerance ultimately leads to extreme caution or blood-letting.

Seems like the error was compounded by evading normal approval process, which *would* be a fireable offense. But
@CNN needs to tell us. -
