three major stories were debunked by comey -- wapo, nyt and cnn. that seems like is a pretty big dealhttps://twitter.com/brianstelter/status/872860325997158400 …

Well, the CNN story was debunked - and corrected. The other two, I guess we'll have to trust Comey didn't lie under oath.
-
which speaks more to the sources than the reporters imo

I'm not saying the Times story us right, but could another country have been source of info? Maybe hadn't yet shared with US.
-
he called wapo story "nonsense" and said most of NYT story was false. maybe he's wrong, but why does it matter where it came from?
-
If NYT got it from non-US sources? Yes It was nonsense as far as he knew. If e.g. DGSE gave it to Times but not US, Comey might not know…
-
The likeliest thing is Times got bad info, but to
@brianstelter's point, we don't really know the when story yet. -
whole story*

'debunking' is usually used as exposing the falseness of a claim, belief, or idea by way of rejecting the origin of the reason or evidence
-
i agree that Comey did not do that.
