Shocking treatment of @ScottPelley. CBS yanking him from @CBSEveningNews "effective immediately," @DylanByers writeshttp://money.cnn.com/2017/05/30/media/scott-pelley-cbs-evening-news/index.html …

Maybe CBS will let Pelley say goodbye. No comment yet. Network's "low ratings" rationale is odd, since CBS has been #3 at 6:30 for 20+ years

With Pelley on the way out at CBS, @DavidMuir will be the longest-serving Big 3 nightly news anchor... and he's only had the job for 3 years

Brian Williams actually became the longest-serving anchor very soon after he started that job, due to Rather leaving & Jennings' death.

I would guess Norah O'Donnell, but giving her the job would cause a shakeup at CBS This Morning.

I'll miss Pelley. But his ratings were sagging and he'll anchor until a replacement is found. How is that "shocking"?

The only anchor I watch bc of his no-nonsense presentation of the news. If the news is constantly hyperbolic & speculative--it's garbage.
