        IDK if literacy is the real problem. Many ppl don't care about the distinctions between 'news' and 'analysis'.

        They care about their point of view being reinforced or attacked. The Feed + shift to algorithmically curated content encourages this.

        Idk if that's it. I think conservative media forced mainstream media to both sides so hard to stay competitive the truth became meaningless
