did Obama do this at the NYT 2 weeks after Election Day? No, he did not
-
brian, he held a press conference THREE DAYS after the electionhttp://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/08/us/politics/08obama.html …
-
yep. I've noted that, and I will continue to. that's different than this. this is arguably much more difficult
-
"Arguably"? Is it or isn't it? Or are you just trying to save face after
@jakebeckman pointed out your error? -
there's no error. i've been covering trump's lack of pressers for DAYS.
-
Kudos on that, but "deserves credit" for doing one meeting with one paper is yellow ribbon territory

honest question. Isn't giving him credit for this lowering the bar?
-
did Obama meet with NYT 2 weeks after being elected? No, he did not
-
So Obama did not meet NYT 2 weeks after election. Obama was also not dissing media or appointing Nazis or on trial for rape.

It's a false equivalence and it lowers the ALREADY RIDICULOUSLY LOW bar for Trump. Trump deserves *no* credit.

Actually, most candidates have subjected themselves to much more scrutiny from journalists -- before getting elected.
-
for sure. i'm not denying that. on the other hand, obama didn't come sit for an hour long group interview 2 weeks after elex day
-
Obama held a presser on 11/7/08. True, only 18 minutes. But still. Pols don't get credit this stuff.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9VcS-EF7T0 …

i've been reporting on trump's lack of presser for days. i think we've done a good job pointing it on TV and online
-
Ok, fair enough. You know I respect both you and your work.

How many days prior to Election Day did Trump go without a press conference? I know he hasn't held one since.
-

-
Got a date? I'm starting a tracker today.
-
