Many members of the media, myself included, condemned the Antifa protest at Tucker Carlson's home. But there's one claim that has been contested. Carlson said a protester cracked his front door. I asked DC police. The police said they saw no sign of that.https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/16/media/tucker-carlson-cracked-door/index.html …

It was absolutely reported earlier this week by
@DrRJKavanagh. -
no, she was going off the police report from last week. this statement from the police is brand new.
-
Honestly I think the point is, the way you have written this article makes it sound like this whole thing is a revelation rather than the police issuing a statement confirming what most people had pretty much already worked out by now from multiple sources.
-
The police are issuing a statement that supports what is in the police report. As a criminal defense attorney, I knew that if the police had observed damage to the door, they would have noted that in the police report, so this confirms that.
-
This is helpful because it is additional evidence to support that position. It's just, to be fair, I'm gonna say, you didn't land the scoop of the century in getting the statement. But cheers.

@brianstelter in this thread comes off like the WH does v often, where they narrow the debate down to a single word/phrase to justify their stance. - 2 more replies

There was a thread on Twitter with the police report details 3 days ago. The "Antifa" protesters even brought legal observers.
-
i wrote a whole story about the police report last week. but until now, the police had not commented on the allegation about the cracked door.
-
Ok. :-| I'm not sure why they would need t comment on something that wasn't in their report in the first place. But ok.

Brian isn’t a very good journalist, just let him play.

He’s not a journalist at all, actually.

we all saw the police report last week. you're missing what's new here, which is a statement from the police that says "MPD did not observe any visible damage to the front door of the victim's house the night of the incident." please read my story for the full context.

I read the story and I saw this too https://twitter.com/Arthur_Klein1/status/1063610843814866944 …

You don't like Tucker, his ratings are better than yours

Yeah, this was already reported and giving Carlson who is clearly proven to be a liar any additional media time is unnecessary as it gives him validation he doesn’t deserve

Even my MOM knew by then next morning, cause even my MOM knows how to follow Antifa, who had legal observers with them recoding everything, including their convos with the cops. Thank for nothing but supporting a racist hack in his personal smear of antifa.

Wrong. Anyone who wanted to know knew. Question why were you so late in knowing? Twitter knew
@brianstelter didn't. Did you apologize for falsely stating you broke news which was, in fact, already old news? Check Twitter 1st in the future.#EmbarrassingThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
