The Trump administration, in a sharp break with decades of tradition, is asserting that it has "broad discretion" to limit reporter access to the White House. Past admins, both Republican and Democratic, have had a permissive approach to press passes.http://www.cnn.com/2018/11/14/media/trump-response-cnn-lawsuit/index.html …

how about a press that soft pedals the fact that journalists of color have been treated like shit by Trump for years? I wish people would not frame this as the line in the sand...that line happened a looooong time ago. Also...

I don't believe Acosta qualifies as a reporter. He is sent to press conferences to instigate problems and should never be permitted to be less than five miles from POTUS at all times indefinitely.
-
It's beyond me how anyone would go there, where you just did, when the WH shows nothing but disdain and disrespect for the entire press contingent. It's revolting, sickening and unamerican. Who cares about Acosta when we're getting abused by Sarah Sanders this way.
-
Acosta is mentally unstable. The president should file a restraining order. Jimmy's got TDS.

Buh-bye

True, if all reporters were the same, but

That is ridiculous. A WH press pass is not synonymous with freedom of the press or lack thereof. BTW:That "pass" works both ways, is a privilege and comes with responsibilities. NEWSFLASH: YOU BEING A REPORTER DOES NOT GIVE YOU CARTE BLANCHE.

Its a privilege not a right, Acosta can still exercise his 1st amendment rights without a WH press pass

How many reporters are in that room and did not have their passes revoked? How about holding Acosta accountable for his rude and unprofessional behavior!? He is hell bent on making a spectacle of himself and he needs a time out.

So what's your response if said Reporter makes an @$$ of himself constantly. Interrupts all the time, gives no respect to the President and won't sit down when told? What is that?

Deceptive framing of the situation. If a the President can deny a reporter access to briefings because the reporter breaks the briefing rules, then the Press remains free. And that's what happened here.
-
What are the briefing rules?
-
Pretyy obvious. The Pres calls on reporters as he chooses and decides when it is someone else's turn. When he indicates that and/or calls on someone else and/or the intern comes to take the mic, the reporter gives the mic to the intern, who then gives it to the next person called
-
Totally unacceptable to refuse to give up the mic. Give it up and sit down when your turn is done as decided by the person giveing the briefing, the President. Come on, this is simple, basic, and easy.
