Should CNN sue the White House for suspending @Acosta's press pass? Famed First Amendment lawyer Floyd Abrams says yes -- and he told me CNN would have a "strong case." Here's a recap of today's segmenthttp://www.cnn.com/2018/11/11/media/cnn-white-house-acosta/index.html …

What is CNN waiting for? Trump has doubled down, not only refusing to restore Acosta press pass, now threatening others. He wants concessions for access, to control the message. Can't negotiate with a bully. Get thee to the courthouse!
-
Acosta did not lose his press credential. He’s with
@POTUS in Paris right now. He lost Secret Service “hard pass” which grants privileged access to WH grounds. He’ll have to sign in at gate every day. -
He is banned from the White House grounds.
-
No, not banned from WH grounds. No longer has special Secret Service “hard pass” - special privilege allowing easy access and freedom on grounds. Acosta still has Press credential and can enter NW gate like most of Press. Just show ID, etc.
-
He is not allowed on the grounds to report. He posted a video of his efforts to do his regular 8 pm live shot. They would not let him do it.
-
Almost 1000 reporters in WH press corps. Most aren’t allowed to do reports from the Beach on North Lawn. Acosta lost his special privileges for being a jerk. About time. He was a jerk every day for almost 2 yrs.
-
Name-calling, lovely. Trained by Trump, I take it. Have a nice evening.
-
Unlike the left who have called anyone that agrees with them deplorable, nazis, racists, Russian bots?

First of all, Acosta isn't a journalist. Always asking baited questions. Even the other reporters are tired of his grandstanding.
-
Journalists are supposed to ask challenging questions. That is their job!

Good. Let the intern sue Acosta.

Now to be clear, has his Press pass been revoked or just “hard pass”? “Hard Pass” he can no longer enter WH. But he can continue to cover President, Correct? What would be lawsuit?

CNN needs to sue, Jim Acosta does his job and does it well and because of that the White House is pulling out the stops to try and ruin him, but he has the support of his network and that of millions of supporters.
-
On what grounds exactly? Does Jim not have the right to express his ignorance just as he did last week? 1st amendment means no govt coercion, not an office in the White House.

Didn’t know it’s a right for Acosta to be in the WH. He has his security suspended..correct? This is why there is no lawsuit.
