Sam Donaldson clear, concise, and relevant on Reliable Sources right now. Maybe time to replace one of the broken record regular pundits with some experiential perspective. Far more to offer than just Acosta take. More Sam.

Sounds like CNN is taking Bull-y President by the horns and heading to court. Sam Donaldson announced he has been asked to provide testimony. Surprise! I'm thrilled. Hard to watch the media swallow trump nonsense. See you in court, Mr President!

-
But he didn't miss a beat. Sam scooping still.

Thank god for Sam Donaldson today. Just matter of factly saying that the Trump base, a minority— Nazis and such will not run this country. Period. That’s worth running in a loop.

Jim Acosta is a Showboat who wants viral moments and then goes on The View Stephen Colbert etc etc
@Acosta -
You may not like his style. It's similar to Sam Donaldson's, a former ABC reporter who was a cornerstone of journalism in his time. But he often gets what we need from this reluctant WH, answers.

So is Don the Con hurting the 1st amendment by his attacks?
-
Yes, by denying access to the press he neglects his obligation under the First Amendment. And his racism and sexism in dealing with black women reporters denies reasonable inquiries.

Make sure to advise there is no first amendment right to a WH press pass.
-
The courts may disagree with you. It's clearly illegal to revoke one without due process.
-
There is no law regarding press passes, it's a privilege, not a right.
-
Why don't you consider listening to the opinion of first amendment specialist, attorney Floyd Abrams who is on CNN explaining that right as we tweet.
-
Once again, the first amendment does not include press passes. Narrative pushers on CNN do not change that fact. Or each and every American citizen would have a press pass. Can you show me yours?
-
Read the Sherrill case out of the DC appeals court cited by Atty. Abrams. Then chime in.
-
Case refers to denial of a press pass, which you have to apply for as it is not a right, not a suspension of a press pass.
-
So it sounds like you're saying that one of the top first amendment specialists in the country, who just categorized it as a very strong first amendment case, is wrong. Glad you aren't representing CNN in this one, counsel.
