Why can't we focus more on how Acosta was just plain old annoying and uncooperative? That's enough to revoke his pass for the day IMO. He didn't assault the woman. He was acting like a child though. Talk about that.

Basically because if Acosta was in any way irritating he was far, far overshadowed by the tremendously insane irritation of a confused and rambling trump
-
That woman from Sky News didn't even get to ask her question. The President cut her off after the first half of her sentence to ramble about that. That kind of ramble happened often. It's part of why the press has to be firm about their questioning.

I certainly don't think Jim Acosta'd (sorry had to) the intern but yanking the mic away is pretty hostile. He's supposed to hand it over when the intern tries 2 claim it. He's always trying 2 grandstand thus distracting others from asking their questions in an organized manner.

I liked your “Acosta’d” comment. Totally wrong- but quite clever. Kudos.

Can't take credit for the pun ;)

Bottom line Acosta needs to stay away from
@WhiteHouse, if he can't follow rules.@realDonaldTrump was done answering him. He wanted to be center of attention. Other reporters had questions. He was disruptive -
What’s with these people who constantly seek to be the center of attention and think rules don’t apply to them? Hey wait a minute...
-
If this is a dig at the president why does the media make him the center of attention
-
It might be because the office is important and deserves accountability

It's THE SAME VIDEO only zoomed in and slowed down. You can clearly see the force with which Acosta's hand forced the woman's arm down. If only you worked at a job where they had equipment to analyze video information.
-
Force (kinetic energy) is a function of velocity. So when you edit the footage to change the perception of speed, the action wrongly appears more forceful. Coordinated deception is propaganda.

This video is exactly what I saw when I watched it live. It is not altered outside of the repeats on the action that is in question.https://twitter.com/presssec/status/1060374680991883265?s=21 …

Is that my definition of assault? No. But, is that America's definition of assault these days? Absolutely. In either case, had Acosta given up the mike, as instructed, this would be a non issue. He went too far.
-
What I see is he was way beyond civil discourse the president has already passed him and he would not sit down. He’s a jerk. I can’t see any other way to describe him. And if a Fox News reporter had done the exact same chopping motion It would be all over the news.
-
That is entirely correct.
