The fact that all these “political experts” don’t know about the Connecticut Compromise says a lot about civics education in the US. Sad.

The real issue is that despite humongous population disparities each state gets two senators. No true equal representation. Seems to actually makes the electoral college completely pointless. Why should smaller populated states get more power in two branches of government?

Go read a history book, specifically look up the Connecticut Compromise. God, public education has gotten really bad 😒

I think most people have a basic understanding of how/why the Senate came to be. The problem is that the proportionality is becoming increasingly out of whack.

“I don’t like the results, so I am going rip up the constitution” think I’ll take the Founders side on this one.

Yeah, when there is a fundamental problem with the constitution, we change it. It’s a living document for a reason.

Just like the CT compromise has already been changed in regards to who elects senators. (the 17th amendment)

Lol so you want to go back to state legislatures choosing Senators? Each States gets two senators, not sure how they are elected in their respective state helps your argument (actually lack thereof)

Wyoming should have two senators and CA should have 80, and NY like 64. Conneticut compromise will dissolve this country long term. Watch. And bad news is, tx is the only R state that pays its federal tax bill, CA and NY oay for the backwards broke, no GDP producing south

Instead of tired and unnecessary civics lessons, maybe push back on Republicans who say "The American people voted and the support X." No...a compromise born out of a desire to protect slavery gives your unpopular position disproportionate representation.

CNN poll of polls was a joke. All wrong in the same direction. What happened to the blue wave we heard about everyday on CNN for many months? You continue to lose trust of the American people. Run more trust commercials. #ElectionResults2018
