Some of the genocidal fascists won, while others lost. What matters, in the end, is that all were allowed to play the game, by the rules set by the fascists

If you want narrative may I suggest becoming a sports fan? This is serious shit with real world implications. What would be admirable is a system designed to represent the people effectively.

Hate it when political pundits do this. They have zero concept of reality
-
I wasn't talking about sports. I was talking about peaceful transfers of power.
-
It comes across as tone deaf Brian. Peoples lives are at stake. That tweet could *easily* be construed as a sports comment too.Sports have "nailbiters" "upsets" "transfer of power" etc. Those parallels, intentional or not, + media's horse-race political coverage is a problem.

Gerrymandering, voter suppression, blatant racism, ...gotta love it.

They stole several elections, out in the open, and nothing is going to happen. There is nothing to admire

A “system” that continues to allow, and has allowed, active voter suppression, further disenfranchisement of people of color & women and more (because actually listing all of the wrongs of this system would probably break Twitter) is something to admire? OK.

You are making things worse. Sincerely. This is not a game and it’s so obvious you think it is one because you don’t feel a single consequence. Don’t change your life just, you don’t have to tweet

The 'flaws' in our system include hostility to democracy and overt racism in places such as Kansas, Georgia, Florida, N. Dakota etc. Although the possibility of democracy in US was saved tonight, there's not a damn thing to admire about the state of democracy in the US right now.
-
The US doesn't remotely resemble a free country as long as people running for governor get to be in charge of oversight of their own damn election. If you can't see that you don't deserve your job. We're in the fight of our lives for democracy. Wake the hell up!
-
Well thank goodness the US isn’t a democracy

And hopefully will NEVER adopt universal basic income.
