In the run-up to the 2016 election, reporters 🙋‍♂️ were warning about "fake news." That problem seems quaint now. Misinformation campaigns have morphed and multiplied... and tech companies are on alert ahead of the midterms... Here's my full storyhttps://www.cnn.com/2018/11/03/media/midterms-misinformation-fake-news/index.html …

Two years ago, "fake news" meant "made-up stories meant to trick you." Then Trump redefined it. Almost any other president would have seen the dangers of viral misinformation and tried to be part of the solution… instead of worsening it… but I digress…https://cnn.it/2quygr2

great piece -- one new addition to the threat landscape is actually coming from the inside. Actively spreading misinformation has become a tool for many of our own elected officials. The people who should be trying to keep us safe are knowingly helping our adversaries.

C‘Mon. @cnnbrk ran with non stop 24/7 coverage of #Clinton emails, @Comey letter and all #Trump overhyped speeches. @facebook & all other media too. The saturation was 100%. You guys had no idea how you were promoting him, and don’t admit it even now.

@brianstelter concerned with Fake news? Lol! It’s what you report everyday! Rather than an investigation into Russian influencing elections they should be investigating MSMs influence. The tactics of left leaning media has done a great job manipulating millions and millions.
