How much interrupting is too much? Some viewers thought Lesley Stahl didn't fact-check Trump enough. Others thought she interjected too often... https://mailchi.mp/cnn/rs-oct-14-2018 …

She had to interrupt to stop him from changing the subject, grandstanding and not answering the question that was asked. Under the circumstances I think she did great.

The press failed in 2015/2016 but is doing the best they can now, but it's not enough. It will take We The People and the Rule of Law to take back our country.

.@KatyTurNBC did a masterful interview with him right after he announced his candidacy. It's just that no one took the threat seriously. But yes, vote. Please vote.

She can interrupt less if he would lie less. Lying so-called presidents should get no deference.

@LesleyRStahl did better than most journalists who yes @realDonaldTrump to death. She asked all the right questions. Thanks for your #integrity Lesley

Unfortunately, Trump will never give a 1-on-1 to someone who would challenge his lies in real time, like @ddale8 or @jaketapper.

I think it was pretty hard to interject anything into that mashup. I didn’t watch it, but I read the transcript. Once again the words the liar in chief were total gobbledygook

I don't really see the purpose of interviewing him. He doesn't say anything meaningful and if he does... how do we believe him?

It's not a campaign rally. If Stahl hadn't interrupted, 3 questions would have been asked while Trump rambled incoherently.

If the President is lying or just making things up you intrupt & get clarification as much as possible. That's pretty much your job as a journalist. Otherwise almost anyone could just be a stenographer for him. Journalists should come prepared with facts &challenge when lied to

Hi Curseless- I always have and I always will, with every president. I don’t expect everyone to do so but I do expect “journalists” who know better to do so. Whatever.

no, you don't, or you'd have examples ready to go of years of your criticism of media orgs calling him "Obama", not President Obama, to work with...or is 'whataboutism' only allowed from the right and Russia?...later
