Normally journalists seek more access to a president. They criticize a president who walls himself off from reporters. But now, with Trump talking a lot, CNN's @brianstelter laments that it's just spreading 'more pollution.'https://twitter.com/CNN/status/1051529578202714112 …

He's the POTUS. His words carry weight whether or not you disagree with their content.
-
It's not about agreeing or disagreeing with Trump's OPINIONS. It's about his blatant, constant LYING. Completely making things up out of thin air or saying the opposite of what is true is not an opinion. It's a constant fraud against the American people.
-
So u r saying thousands upon thousands of American people were blatantly n constantly lied to at every rally? Wonder what were the lies?
-
Yes. Constantly. Do people think this is debatable?

To put it another way: If the media were more careful and made fewer “mistakes” (Nikki Haley’s curtains, “incredible” Robert E. Lee, etc.), they wouldn’t require so many corrections & retractions and the public might actually find them more credible.

No, it's because your main objective is to be negative towards anything related to him. That is your network's mission and quite frankly, raison d'être. Very simple.

You could flip that syllogism and apply it to virtually every interaction reporters have with Trump. If the media did not continually fall victim to confirmation bias with respect to their reporting on the WH, then people might trust them more
