They knew it was wrong when they tried to build the narrative. #BustedPropagandists

Just read the rush transcript. Trump twice called Lee a great general. Yes, he said that Grant was incredible. And clearly, he was saying that Grant was better than Lee. But, 2x, he called Lee a great general. That is worth noting here.
-
That's such a stupid take, Randy, because even the lowliest education of the civil war proves Trump right,
#GeneralLee was great at his job, Trump's point being that Grant was an even greater General which is what it took to defeat Lee. What is it that you don't get? -
My point had nothing to do with how good a general Lee was. My point was that Mr. Trump praised him for such. Yes, he did so to praise Grant even greater. (Plenty are arguing that Lee was in fact a greater general than Grant). But, I am not a fan of a U.S. president praising Lee.
-
But that is exactly what I don't understand about your response, how is admitting a historical truth be a problem no matter who states it?
#FactsMatter which is why Lee and other figures are still studied to this day, even when on the wrong side, we learn from them… -
Studied; yes. Praised in a speech by a U S president; not appropriate. Presidents don’t praise generals fighting for causes offensive to many of our citizens. Remember, Lee fought to maintain slavery.
-
It's BECAUSE
#GeneralLee "fought to maintain slavery" that strengthens Trumps entire point, that Lee's stunning success took such an enormous effort by Pres. Lincoln to find an even greater General to o/come and win this awful war, who was an Ohioan where he was making the point -
Yeah except General Lee did not support slavery either, nor did he “fight to maintain it”. The civil war being ONLY about slavery is a low IQ rewriting of history.
-
It actually comes from reading the words of the founders of the CSA, including the actual document of secession from my state, TX.

1. It took them two days to fix this. Not two minutes...which is what it should have taken them. 2. How do you get this wrong in the first place, when the video is so clear?https://twitter.com/Neoavatara/status/1051561329499226113 …
-
One other point: it wasn't like they missed this. Within 5 minutes of
@NBCnews tweeting this, we all knew they were wrong. Why 48 hours to fix such an error? It is inexcusable. - 1 more reply

They were getting killed on social media long before Trump tweeted.pic.twitter.com/gYXN4gwBfn

The main problem with MSM is that they all think they are our only source for news. This is the internet age. Easy to call their BS.

Will
@CNN correct too? -
Not really their thing.
-
Yeah they’re really turning into Fox News these days
-
Just the opposite. CNN used to be my go to but now FOX is actually an option.
-
That’s going backwards.
-
It would have been even a year ago, but a lot has happened since. As Trmp might say, "Sad!"
