Even that framing is false though. There is “reality," fact- and evidence-based, and then there is an "alternate reality” in which the right exists or pretends to exist. One is real, the other is alternative to the real. They are not simply alternatives to each other.

Brian, I thought you did solid work during the general election where a lot of other cable news people failed. I was hoping to see that type of media commentary continue. It’s okay to have people come on who use facts and not have a false counter-point to argue the other side.
can’t agree more with David. The media’s needless thirst for objectivity is the whole reason we’re in this mess. Don’t play it safe and tell us both sides, just tell us the truth.
A show about media, particularly one that attempts to dissect media, should acknowledge that these people are operating in bad faith and having them on to spread disingenuous points is playing into that bad faith. These are not serious people and they don't deserve the airtime.
