PLEASE RT: Deborah Ramirez has given a *corroborated* account of sexual assault by Kavanaugh and Republicans refuse to meet with/speak to her despite the corroboration and her willingness to speak to the FBI under penalty of a felony for lying. This should be the top story on TV.

Brian, I'm sorry you're behind the news, but the GOP has refused to get on a call with Clune, after saying they would, setting preconditions for a call that are unprecedented and no attorney would accept. Not to mention they refuse to invite Ramirez to testify Friday. To you...
-
...GOP staffers (who *aren't* the Committee) sending demanding emails to Ramirez's lawyer that they refuse to follow with a call despite their promises to, and then calling for a vote without Ramirez, may constitute a willingness to speak to her, but it doesn't to any layperson.
-
("Testify *before* Friday," I meant. Apologies for the typo.)
-
Brian, this was all over the news last night. I watched an interview on CNN with Clune. If you want to characterize yesterday's news as the GOP being willing to speak with her, you are free to do so. I strongly disagree with you and do not like my disagreement being called lying.
-
Please delete your tweet. It's your prerogative to look at these facts and say the GOP is willing to meet with/speak to Ramirez (which is the way I put it in my tweet), but even the GOP's CYA staff emails/call refusals never said so, so I'm more than entitled to tweet what I did.
-
Something sketchy going on at CNN...
-
No, I think Brian is just innocently mistaken. My presumption is that he will at some point retract his tweet, clarify it, or in some other way acknowledge that the current state of the story is consistent with what I tweeted out and what he offered was merely his interpretation.
-
One thing I'll add is I do read the comments on my posts, so in Brian's shoes I'd see that almost everyone commenting on his tweet in this thread disagrees with him. But if he simply tweets things and then doesn't read the comments, he likely has no sense what he wrote was false.

Brian, you’ve got this wrong. Maybe you should get the other side of the story? I’m sure Rachel Maddow would be happy to share it with you. This is why I stopped watching you. You talk about responsible journalism and then you do this.
-
Maybe Brian should team up with Michael Schmidt of the New York Times. This conspiracy bandwagon just seems to grow with who you would think are unlikely participants.

You are very quick to call Seth a liar, but hesitate to call this buffoon in the White House a liar, while he lies to the American people on a daily basis! Shame on you Brian, you are a hypocrite! If MSM would have done only 10 % of Seth’s job you would have a lot of info!

Brian, you are totally out of line calling Seth a liar. When you man up enough to do the same thing to the proven pathological liar in the white house, then come back with it. But honestly, this is very disappointing

I’m no Seth fan, but Republicans haven’t shown up for any phone meetings. Only Dems. So, he’s correct.

Have you commented about CNN’s repeated practice of allowing Trump shills on air to lie? Or the panel of Republican women responding to these allegations who all turned out to be party hacks?
-
-
Yep. It's hard to support
@CNN if they're going to keep hiring folks like Lord, Lewandowski, and the rest to come spin tales & then spend time showing us "real voters in the Trump heartland" who turn out to be not so real.
