I'm glad the NYT said this at the top of the op-ed: The senior official's identity "is known to us." Yeah, the person is anonymous to readers, but not to the opinion editors -- a point worth emphasizing to the public.pic.twitter.com/NXvpR97wSx

Woodward's book, now this... Does anybody in Washington have the guts to go on the record or do they all just play the angles, protecting themselves for their next big career change in The Swamp? And people wonder why Trump won the election.

Trump’s going to have to replace his entire staff after he has all of them thrown in the Potomac to see who sinks and who floats. #witchhunt

That does NOT matter! If this “official” is TRULY concerned for the welfare of this Country - they would give their name & resign. But, no - not these people. Tax cuts & overturning Roe v Wade are the ONLY things they ar concerned with. This is pathetic!

My hunch is that the NYTimes news people are completely compromised in terms of trying to identify the writer of the op-Ed. Hope you @Sulliview for @CNN analysis.

So what Stelter. We long ago found out that the left-wing media will say or print anything they feel will harm President Trump. Since you have lost all credibility as journalists, and are now subversive propagandists, your "Sr. official" is meaningless crap without a name.

I’m late to this, but not sure it’s a whistle blowing situation. I consider whistleblowing to be speaking out to someone who can do something about it. There’s no action item from this.

What's irresponsible about the letter: the CLAIM is unverifiable and self-aggrandizing. They're saving the world from Trump? No, they're taking credit for everything good and blaming him for the rest. This is political posturing for the post-trump "we never liked him" game.
