She doesn't deserve such a lengthy jail sentence but let's not confuse her actions with #whistleblowing.https://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2017/06/08/reality-winner-isnt-a-whistleblower-or-a-victim-of-trumps-war-on-leaks/ …

Who do you think she was spying for? She may not have gotten a lawyer and taken the appropriate steps for whistleblower protection but there was no case made that she did harm or that the info was to help another entity besides to inform Americans.

She wasn't spying for anyone. The Espionage Act has specific provisions that pertain to unauthorized disclosure. It's just a statute's generic name.

But the NSA claimed it did irreversible damage, which they didn’t attempt to prove. I don’t disagree that she didn’t take steps for a whistleblower. But the case against her was inflated. How much time did Petraeus get?

I am afraid she will have to wait until there is a legitimate president - in good news when she is released from jail she will be feted as a national hero.

I agree on her heroism, I just (genuinely) wish her parents hadn’t named her as a gimmick. I always feel like they’re vaguely referring to some petty reality TV show shit, before I realize it’s about a real person and real injustice.

Leaking classified documents deserves prison time. If we were to have equal justice for all, @HillaryClinton would be facing 165,000 years in prison.

So how long should Gen Petraeus have gotten? He pleaded guilty and didn’t do time. Hillary has been repeatedly investigated but no charges... except you want jail without a trial. You are a great American!

Hillary Clinton is the rightful president and the DOJ is punishing Reality Winner for trying to alert the public to Trump's criminal conspiracy to overthrow our government.
