Very telling: Stelter notes Earhardt asks all the important questions, but didn’t like HOW she asked them (“gentlest possible ways...conveyed none of the gravity of the moment”). It didn’t feel combative. But reading the questions in text, it comes across as thorough.https://twitter.com/brianstelter/status/1032641682343256064 …

You write she "asked about Tuesday's bombshells.” Did she not ask any important questions? It seems he just didn’t answer. My point is - it came across as friendlier than a usual Trump interview watching it, but reading the questions, seems like she asked all relevant ones.

i don't have time to list the dozens of questions that trump needs to be asked. besides, there are many journalists who would ask him better questions than i would. but we all know that "Michael Cohen, tell me about your relationship with him" is not what this moment called for.

Sounds like how CNN and MSNBC treat literally every Democrat they have on. Especially President Obama. Not phased by the interview.

Can you direct me towards any other times you’ve called out reporters for non confrontational, Presidential interviews? Specifically from 1/20/09 through 1/19/17.
