        I think you know that any coverage is "used as a recruiting video" so why cover them at all? If viewers have NOTHING to gain from covering them, and they gain recruits then you're effectively expanding there existence.

        @brianstelter As long as coverage includes asking hate group people why they have such hate. Make them reflect on and explain why they harbor such negative feelings towards a group or groups of other humans.

        The idea is that we can avoid some problems becoming bigger if we shut down the vectors of transmission. There’s a reason the popular metaphor is that of a virus. And it would be useful to ask whether the media avoiding that conclusion isn’t a case of motivated reasoning.
