Reminder that in the days following Trump's victory, the MSM blamed what they called "fake news." They defined it in a "glossary," and Stelter said there are 3 types.pic.twitter.com/vdja7AB4Qz

Correction: My coverage came BEFORE Election Day. And I didn't "blame" his victory on bogus stories. You can see that my 3 types of "fake news" list aired BEFORE the election, since there's a graphic promoting election night coverage right on screen.

The undated video is embedded in a Nov 17, 2016, story entitled "Your post-election glossary, from 'alt-right' to 'fake news,'" but after further googling appears to have been posted online 10/30/16.

Regardless, here's your post-election (11/19/16) story: "Did the spread of fake news on the web help elect Donald Trump? We may never know for sure"https://money.cnn.com/video/news/2016/11/19/stelter-fake-news-pkg.cnnmoney/index.html …

Why did you just delete your tweet? "The narrative about journalists blaming 'fake news' after election day is a lie."pic.twitter.com/cB0C0TOfPv

I decided to stay positive rather than sound like a jerk 😀 But that narrative IS a lie. Media reporters were warning about the fake news problem before Election Day. It wasn't invented as a post-election excuse.

They can both be true. Some talked about it before Election Day. Many blamed it after Trump’s election. Hence Shafer’s column about the media panic. But you haven’t answered the question: you said fake news hurts the people. Do you view Infowars as the enemy of the people?

I would never use the term "enemy of the people." It has a horrific history.
