No... what? No, it's not useful to see why his crowds love him? Journalistically, I think it's very useful
-
Try to look past the lies for a minute ? And see why his supporters love him.... it’s because he’s a racist lying bigot and they are too that’s why but the media is scared to tell the truth apparentlypic.twitter.com/G1U7LhnFrv

It's really that simple. Everyone tryna complicate it is also causal of the white patriarchy because they are supposed to be able to do murderous dirt, smile in your face denying it and we must smile back believing it...Nah.

No, Brian. Try to look at how headlines like this one are part of why. THE MEDIA TELLS HIS STORY. That’s you.

My Sunday program explores that all the time

Brian, stop being part of the problem. Your incessant "why is he so popular" perpetuates the idea that he is popular. He is not. He has a hard core of true believers. We already understand them. This is old news Brian. The story people want now is "what do we do about him/them?"

The text of the tweet does a disservice to the article itself. Read the article. Brian is making an interesting point. Nowhere in the article is he praising Trump or saying the lies aren't important. He's just pointing out how Trump crafts his messages and how it's effective.
-
Brian, how about some regular coverage of the
#KremlinAnnex demonstration - ie represent the majority of Americans? -
That is indeed an under-reported story.

This is one of the most astonishing phenomenons of the Trump era, the media constantly praising the president for being able to maintain the support of his base. Before, it was news only when a president couldn’t keep the support of his base. Why have we changed the narrative?

The refusal to understand the role of explicit and implicit racism in the rise and popularity of Donald Trump, likely due to journalistic unconscious bias and blind spots, is going to be one of the top three issues historians write about when the story of the Trump years is told.

And sexism.

The Republican Party has shrunken in size. Fewer people identify as GOP now. May want to tell that story too.https://www.brookings.edu/blog/fixgov/2018/06/14/trump-owns-a-shrinking-republican-party/ …
