If Cable News had not covered every minute of his hateful rallies during the campaign, he probably wouldn’t have won. It was de facto free advertising and promotion of his hateful ideology.

Get a team to do research on how much taxpayers pay for these rallies... then report on that instead of airing the rally.

A pool does the job. No need for more.

Pool camera and reporter only. If something newsworthy happens, it's recorded. Otherwise, by giving him a platform, you are complicit in your own destruction, because jailing unfriendly journalists is where his attacks are leading.

Do not cover them. Have a pool camera and reporter, that's it.

Cover the events; that’s what the press should do. But, do not broadcast the events live; at this point, that is no longer necessary. If something news-worthy occurs, report on it after the fact. You can always break into a live broadcast if there’s an issue of immediacy.
-
So we are clear: newsworthy does not equal another lie or OMG moment from Trump. Define that term narrowly please.
-
Agreed. It’s essential that the press put an end to broadcasting a repetitious recitation of lies. The prime reason the nazi fascists were successful in turning ordinary citizens against each other was the repetition of their lies & the eventual complicit collapse of the press.

So, you’ll stop watching CNN to reverse your brainwashing?

You are now in the Whatever Gang, too. I'll teach you the gang sign later. Or you can ask Ivanka.

Ivanka 2024, first female president. I just hope Hillary lives to see it

As someone once said, we'll see.

Maybe us viewers should turn off tv during rallies and then if numbers went down they would quit showing them (I have been just muting)
-
I've been turning it off, even clips. We all should

I’m a journalist and I’m against it too. There’s no news value to these rallies. Please. Let the AP to cover that and don’t write anything unless some really newsworthy thing happens. You’ve given T a lot of free publicity from day one.
