I agree.. and STOP giving trump airtime for his hateful rallies. I switch channels until it is over.. Just can't look at him or listen to his lies anymore.. Quit promoting his ego.. The media is REAL. The president is FAKE!

Don’t know what it will take for CNN to learn this, they are partially responsible for giving him so much air time during his candidacy. Don’t remember any other candidate or president for that matter getting so much publicity, for just breathing.
-
Positive reinforcement for negative behavior. Stop giving him airtime for his negative behavior. At least stop airing these rallies. They are offensive..

Also ask Trump if he believes in Q.
-
Of course Trump loves Q nonsense, because it 1) currently benefits him and 2) flatters him by making him out to be some kind of hero.

Except their platform isn't there expressly to inform the public. It's there to generate ad revenue for investors through attracting viewer/readership. That's the whole problem with market journalism in the US.

Bingo. The more division the sow, the more clicks they get. Plainly obvious

This is an excellent idea, and then try fact checking in real time. Little by little, this administration is destroying the unwritten rules that have kept this Republic going for over 220+ years. The media must try to fight back, in little ways and big ones. This is a good start.

Helen Thomas used to do this almost daily during the Iraq War. "I'd like to ask you, Mr. President, [about] your decision to invade Iraq . . . Every reason given, publicly at least, has turned out not to be true. My question is: Why did you really want to go to war?"
-
I miss Helen, that woman was always on fire and no one dissed her, because America would always rise up to defend her from anyone who did.
-
It's like we live in another country now.
-
Well we do in some ways, and we don't in others. The majority is still holding, but barely, and we need a powerful media establishment to recognize the erosion and defend us against those trying to do it. Helen Thomas, Russert's we need men and women like that. I keep waiting.
-
I get more worried that longer we have to wait. Acosta is taking a real beating almost by himself. I wish more would get behind him, I think some's personal ambition means more to them than their constitutional right to report freely.
-
Yep, I agree.

Can't the press corp boycott the briefing? It's not like they learn anything from the
@PressSec . If she feels the press is the enemy of the people then let her talk to an empty room. It's not a normal administration so we can't act normal. -
Agree. No one show up except for CNN for a couple of days.
