Here in Colorado, they've recently gutted the Denver Post as well. As a former journalist, it's tough to watch.

Coal is not a staple of midwest industry- traditionally moreso farming/ manufacturing (think auto). 5 million in 10 years averages 1370 jobs lost per day.

Used to be my favorite paper. Stopped getting home delivery 3 yrs ago and never bought another issue. Turned into a far left liberal rag and printed horrible untruthful headlines. Mike Lupica was nothing but a whiny little man who turned me away from the sports section. See Ya !
