The @NYDailyNews employed 400 journalists in 1988. After Monday's cuts, it will "have a newsroom staff of just 45, according to people at the paper," @farhip reportshttps://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/style/the-city-that-never-sleeps-finds-that-its-running-out-of-reporters-to-report/2018/07/23/d4c9410e-8e8f-11e8-bcd5-9d911c784c38_story.html …

Here in Colorado, they've recently gutted the Denver Post as well. As a former journalist, it's tough to watch.

It’s biased reporters like Brian Stelter who have tainted the believability of journalism. You can thank him for people turning away from the MSM.

Since 2001, the US has lost around 24,000 jobs in coal. In that same amount of time, we've lost over 238,000 jobs in journalism. https://nyti.ms/2O9g54J

Coal is not a staple of midwest industry- traditionally moreso farming/ manufacturing (think auto). 5 million in 10 years averages 1370 jobs lost per day.

Used to be my favorite paper. Stopped getting home delivery 3 yrs ago and never bought another issue. Turned into a far left liberal rag and printed horrible untruthful headlines. Mike Lupica was nothing but a whiny little man who turned me away from the sports section. See Ya !
