Strangest comment from Trump's CBS interview? He claims the news media "didn't cover my meeting" with Putin. He says it lasted almost 2.5 hours and was "very good." Of course, it was private, so none of us know what really happened in the meeting.

Solid follow-up there would have been: Well, many have requested a transcript of the meeting, would you be willing to release it?

The worst part was the tease for tomorrow - "Which Democrat do you want to run against?". CBS as TMZ. Given how rare these opportunities are now, that was an awful performance from Glor that once again illustrates how little TV news media has learned from 2016. Real bad.

Press never has flow up questions. They are afraid to push Trump.

There are some good interviewers. Wallace did great with Putin, I think Chris Hayes and Jake Tapper are both very dogged... but overall, Donald still has the measure of the media. Problem is, TV news is often as shallow and dumbed down as he is. They must do better.

Why did Jeff Glor not say “press were not allowed in that meeting” ??

If @SecPompeo and @AmbJohnBolton aren't allowed in the meeting why would press be allowed to be there??? He needs serious medical help...

Brian, as predicted, this CBS interview with Jeff Glor is pointless. Why continue to give this unhinged conman yet another platform in which he will lie (and lie) and go unchallenged? The networks, and far too many journalists have become stenographers. Shameful.

Yep. I agree. I don’t understand why any seasoned journalist can’t call a lie a lie and fact check on the spot.

what he means is that he didn't get the accolades that he expected from the press, therefore they didn't cover him

I haven't watched it but saw the clip where he says he holds Putin accountable because he's the leader just like he (Trump) would be responsible for anything that happens in the US. Let's be clear, he doesn't and will never take responsibility for any negative thing happening.

we thought that was a very funny comment....He refuses to hold a press conference, barely acknowledges you and then comments that you didn't cover his private no one in the room but those two nuts meeting. He's got to be suffering from dementia. He's definitely delusional.

Well. The Russians know what happened. Because, the Russians have the tape. Its just Americans who have no idea the extent to which Donald Trump betrayed his own Country.

Here is my problem with this whole storyline. Is the administration so inept that they would not tape the meeting? If true, we are in a heap of trouble.

Donald was there to do what? None of his aides knew of any stated objectives. It’s clear. Donald was getting his story straight, passing along US secrets, and requesting help with the midterms & 2020. So, no. Donald didn’t want Americans taping that.
