He brought a sign with him... I think most folks would call that a "protest"https://twitter.com/democracynow/status/1019196580132466689 …

Before he was dragged out of the press conference, @samhusseini's sign yesterday read "Nuclear Weapon Ban Treaty." He says: "It wasn't a protest. It was just an attempt to do serious, aggressive journalism, which is I think what we need." #DNlive pic.twitter.com/Yt2thuELkf

So all signage is automatically protest? It was a suggested topic. How do you get a protest from that?

Show me other examples of journalists bringing signs to presidential press conferences

That makes it innovative — not necessarily a protest.

I can see how Mark is confused though. A journalist is supposed to be one who collects and reports on news. Not one who makes news himself in order to make a point. Given CNN's increasingly activist approach to journalism, its no wonder other lib reporters are more activist.

If you read very closely, you'll notice I'm arguing the conclusion that it was a "protest," not the definition of journalism.

And I am arguing that a journalist should show up to an event with a pen and pad in order to report on the news, rather than showing up with a sign and a megaphone in order to become the news.

No, I'm suggesting you would more readily recognize him as a protestor if he accompanied his protest sign with a megaphone; and if he just had a pen, pad and questions, he'd be seen as a journalist not a protestor.

If you’re this mad about Russia hacking our election (they did...WITHOUT COLLUSION), then hopefully you will be equally upset when illegals attempt to vote. A clear act of treason!

Really? What is it that makes you think the way you do? I really have to wonder about you at times! Is it not possible the guy wanted to impress upon media cohorts that this would be important to ask about? He didn't yell or protest! Is keeping it simple no longer possible?
