I want to know what the rest of our government is doing while Trump is trying to distract. Tell us that, and stop giving his rallies attention.

- this. Rallies usually correspond with something awful happening somewhere else or something awful that is about to happen. Cover THAT. Oh and learn the definition of projection and cover accordingly. If someone like me can figure it out surely journalist can. -
In addition to the distraction arguments cited above, rallies are simply not newsworthy...not even if it's a president's rally. They bear little relation to the duties of a president's office.

He’s getting free campaign advertising time on channels that cover him. If he wants it televised, let him pay advertisement fees!

Ezra is 100 % correct. Trump is great at one thing, controlling the narrative. The more the media focused on his rally speech the better for Trump. He knows that his supporters will see him as the victim of the “liberal” media. Stop feeding his narrative!
-
I agree w/Ezra. There is no news from his rallies. Only bombast. The constant access to cable news is what elected him. I am so sick of hearing what he says over & over to the exclusion of actual news of how he is ruining our country. Stop feeding the beast. Cut off his oxygen.
-
I agree. It's free media coverage, but the nedia/cable are apart of it too. Trump fills up their air time for ppl like us who watch. They are only interested in $$ from advertisers. As viewers, we need to start targeting advertisers. Cut off the cash cow.

The rallies are not news. They’re clickbait. Just pretend you didn’t make money on the attention they generate and ask yourself if you would cover them in this manner. Tha answr is no and you know it.
-
I don’t understand why we all have to dance around the fact that Trump’s insanity equals ratings for you guys. It’s well-documented fact. Pretending not to know it, pretending it isn’t damaging or country...that is how you are complicit. It’s shameful, Brian.

Thank you Mike. Well said.

I feel that the coverage gives him the feeling of control and power. Some want visual coverage but I, personally feel reporters can cover and report new rhetoric as it happens while reducing Trumps platform. Take away what he craves most, the camera. Less Trump distractions.
-
And ironically he hates the media and denounces it, but they continue to cover him. Go figure.
-
He does not hat the media he craves the attention. He does all those things to get the attention the media falls for it and then he points to his supporters saying see you hear what I say you like what I say because you clap when I say those things and the media those people back
-
attention seeking tweets and rallies it is just plan stupid at this point. The media is 24/7 trump tweets and panels discussing the newest trump issues. It was a breath of fresh air to see the stories of the issues at the border and the cave issue the media focusing on real

You are losing so many viewers by airing his rallies live, booking his allies & the press briefing instead of REPORTING THE ACTUAL effects of this adminstrations policies. Parkland kids are traveling across the country registering voters making real change & your network ignores
-
Agree with this statement. The Parkland kids are doing AWESOME work that I’d love to see reported. Time to focus on positivity, not the negativity from 45 that we all know is WRONG.

Trump doesn't care if his coverage is negative or positive. He only cares that he gets coverage.. MSM plays right into his hands by playing his shock effect words from speeches or Twitter over & over. They even show partisan rhetoric & Conspiracy Theories from
@FoxNews /2 -
@CNN is rated high for FACTUAL reporting but is rated "MIXED" overall because many of the guests on the talk shows aren't aggressively "fact checked". In the effort to be balanced,@CNN creates "false equivalency". We tried to warn you. ../3https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/cnn/ -
Finally, let's hope MSM doesn't continue repeating same mistakes that contributed to Putin's "Useful Idiot" being in the White House. Worth repeating..Trump doesn't care if media coverage is negative or positive.. Just so long as he gets coverage & sucks the air from the room
