From ⁦⁦@brianstelter:⁩ “Members of the media were very careful to not invoke Trump” Meanwhile, in the real world, Reuters is investigating an editor for a tweet blaming Trump and a reporter from The Republican resigned after claiming the shooter wore a MAGA hatpic.twitter.com/bVNmaj5GZU

Funny how you left out the key word from the quote: "Most." Most folks were very careful. I added: "Some individual journalists and 'resistance' activists DID make that mistake, and they were called out for it."

Of course MOST journalists didn’t do this. That would be near impossible. But the clear tone of your newsletter was to suggest people who criticized the media are wrong despite the fact that a quick sweep of twitter after the shooting found many who DID blame trump.

A "quick sweep of Twitter" does not reflect real life, and definitely does not reflect the output of "the media." The less time spent on Twitter, the better, and I say that as a Twitter addict.

I’ll let the journos from NYT, Reuters, CNN, and Politico know that they aren’t a reflection of the media. Elsewhere in your newsletter you wrote that “many wondered” if trump was to blame. Were we supposed to ignore that part?

It’s also interesting to see you downplay the importance of twitter and the media landscape. If trump did anything with Twitter he proved it’s an influential medium and what is said here matters.
