She's not really wrong tho. As a whole, the Bernie movement has not had general success in primaries this year. If ever they were going to win one, that district was tailor made for it.

Brian. You sound like you want Democrats to lose in November. I think you would be happier at Fox.

This one district isn't the same as a district in Oklahoma. A DSA will have a harder time winning in Oklahoma.
-
They know this but they need a narrative. That's why the press keeps saying Gov. Cuomo is sweating over Cynthia Nixon when he's 35 points ahead and leading with all demos including Liberals.
-
I know nothing of New York politics. I know nothing of the cultural dynamics of living in city like New York. I do know, being a blue dot in a sea of red in Indiana, a blue dog democrat is equivalent to a DSA.

Big Tent includes Democrat Conor Lamb in Pennsylvania (middle/right) and Ocasio-Cortez in NY and Doug Jones in Alabama. Not much room left for Republicans.

The point MIGHT be that the debate shouldn't be whether this is indicative of voters nationwide. But snark away, CNN, snark away. I think I'll pin this one for myself.

If Trumpism wins, no more snarky reporters.

Are you seeing a lot of incumbent Democrats losing primary battles?

Democrats have to balance an cool, young emergent progressivism while also being available for independents and exiled republicans. We need everyone because not every district is deep blue. We need to be a large tent to beat the extreme GOP.
-
Well said. The constituents from each area get to chose. As long as a Democrat is winning let’s be inclusive regardless of how far left or centrist they are.
-
We need to get a majority Democratic Congress first and the more progressives demonstrate consistently that they are a reliable voting bloc they will be influencers. I have used the example of the religious right and the GOP and how they gained power.

Wow!
@NancyPelosi better wake up and smell the coffee. We don't want centrist Democrats who are barely different from Republicans, both of them controlled by Big Money and Special Interests. We want Trump impeached, fair taxes, universal health care and immigration reformThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

That’s not just what she said in total. She also talked about it being less than 24 hours since the vote etc. no need to create an issue that isn’t there.

She's right. There's a danger in thinking this district represents the majority of Democrats.
