11 curious quotes from Trump tonight. What's the best way to cover a speech like this? What should journos tell readers/viewers about it? http://bit.ly/2K8CwJ9 pic.twitter.com/ByIZQOvxb1

Brian, I think it’s time the media change course with this president. We know 99% of what he says is bullshit, so if you really want to report ‘news’ you should have people monitor his speeches and rallies and report the 1-2 things that are of consequence, if there are any.

You are all used to covering a president’s every word but we know not everything this president says is noteworthy. The media is having a hard time learning this. I want to know when he’s done something noteworthy, not said something ludicrous (again).

No, don't cover what he says, cover what he does....just policy, no pics of him, no coverage of him, send interns to talk with that nasty Sarah....you guys got him elected, please help us get rid of him...without TV, he'll explode...cut off his oxygen and see what happens.

This idea is EXACTLY why the left is considered in bed with 90% of the MSM, and this is why you're going to lose in November. The media fed you lies in 2016 with their polls and their predictions and their insistence he would not win. They're saying the same today.

You know how to do this: write short summary sentences for the Chyron guy and post them on a graphic, one by one, and "stamp" them lie, truth or misleading. Or just show the whole list, already stamped and move on. There's no reason to discuss it or give it more than :30 or :40.

Don’t cover the speech. It’s an inconsequential rant. WORDS. Meanwhile, actual ACTIONS are occurring. Cover those instead.

Brian, @cnn should NOT take these rallies live. Monitor them, summarize them after, but don’t take them live. There is ZERO news value to them. follow Jay Rosen's recommendation: "It's time for the press to suspend normal relations with the Trump presidency..."
